Release Date..... 1994 Contents......... 718 Amiga 8svx sampled instrument sounds (20 MB) The Amiga directory also includes IFF images and digitized samples of native speakers from FairBrothers' Audio Gallery language instruction software. An IBM directory includes the same instruments, pictures and sounds in .bmp and .wav formats. Access Software.. None. No icons included for WorkBench access. Comments......... This review, like the disk packaging, focuses on the instrumental sounds. The nine directories of pictures and sounds from Audio Gallery (one for each language represented) were of no use to me without the Audio Gallery software. I do not know whether owners of that software can use the CD-ROM to add languages or eliminate disk- swapping. I tested many of the instruments on this CD- ROM with Deluxe Music 2.0, playing them back through the standard Amiga audio channels. I did not test them with MIDI hardware. Disclaimer: The author of this CD-ROM is a friend and fellow member of our Amiga user group. I did not discuss this review with him. Testers Opinion.. "These instruments all appear to be new samples, as none of those I checked match samples of the same sounds that I have collected from other sources over the years. All of those I have tested work well with DeluxeMusic. 718 instruments make a great addition to anyone's collection." (Bill Falls) Keywords......... Music Sources..........
